Moda w serialu: "Plotkara" (Gossip Girl) (2007- )

Nie tylko aktorzy filmowi i ich postacie kreują gusta publiczności. Oglądając wszelkiego rodzaju seriale również możemy zaznajomić się z modą. 
Dobrym tego przykładem jest serial  "Gossip Girl". Powstały w 2007 r. na  podstawie serii książek Cecily von Ziegesar o tym samym tytule. Narratorem w serialu jest tajemnicza bloggerka Plotkara (głos Kristen Bell), która opisuje skandaliczne życie uczniów prywatnej szkoły na Upper East Side w Nowym Jorku. Serial rozpoczyna się powrotem na Upper East Side Sereny van der Woodsen (Blake Lively) z tajemniczego pobytu w szkole z internatem w Cornwall w Connecticut. Kolejną bardzo ekscentryczną postacią jest Blair Waldorf (Leighton Meester). Długoletnia przyjaciółka Sereny, a także diva szkoły Constance Billard School. Serial opowiada także o Chucku Bassie (Ed Westwick), złym chłopcu z Upper East Side, Nate'ie Archibaldzie (Chace Crawford) byłym chłopaku Blair i  przyjacielu Chucka oraz Danie Humphreyu (Penn Badgley), największej miłości Sereny, Vanessie Abrams (Jessica Szohr), najlepszej przyjaciółce Dana oraz o Jenny Humphrey (Taylor Momsen), siostrze Dana.

Autorem głównych stylizacji jest Eric Damian. Wcześniej pracował jako pomocnik głównej kostiumograf, Patricii Field przy serialu "Seks w wielkim mieście".  Takie doświadczenie przy boku tak uznanej kreatorki strojów i jej odmowa przy tworzeniu stylizacji podczas produkcji "Plotkary" sprawiło, że miał wielkie pole do popisu. Trafił w dziesiątkę. Do dzisiaj wiele dziewczyn chce się upodobnić do głównych bohaterek. 

Serena reprezentuje sobą wielkomiejski styl z nutką ekstrawagancji bądź elegancji. Blair jest przeciwieństwem Sereny. Preferuje raczej klasyczne rozwiązania inspirowane Audrey Hepburn czy Elizabeth Taylor. Postać Vanessy ukazuje się nam w ubraniach  z second handów m.in. krótkich kurtkach w stylu lat 50. Częstym dodatkiem  do jej strojów jest bogata, etnicza biżuteria.

Najbardziej charakterystycznym stylem wyróżnia się Jenny. Jej look jest rockowy. Głównym atrybutem Jenny są  krótka, skórzana kurtka, oraz mocny makijaż, którego nieodłącznym elementem są "smoky eyes".
