7 things to do in Tenerife

Udając się na teneryfę miałam wrażenie, że jest to wyspa bardzo wypoczynkowa i rodzinna. I owszem taka też jest, ale dla poszukiwaczy wrażeń i wielbicieli aktywnego spędzania czasu znajdzie się również sporo atrakcji. Poniżej podzielę się z Wami atrakcjami, które udało mi się odwiedzić i wrażeniami jakie z nich wyniosłam.

Before going to Tenerife i thought that it's a very quiet island, perfect holidays place for families with small kids. At some point i was right but this beautiful island has a lot to offer even to adventure seeker. Here are the places i manage to visit and my impressions.

Teide National Park

Każdy podróżujący na tenerfę powinien odwiedzić Wulkan i znajdujący się w okól niego park narodowy. Nam niestety nie udało się wjechać na sam szczyt wulkanu (oczywiście nasze szczęście), ale krajobraz dookoła jest niesamowity i naprawdę szkoda go przegapić.

Every traveler needs to visit the park around Mount Teide. The park has a number of trails and a unique landscape that sometimes appears stark and barren. The main attraction is the cable car ride that goes from the main parking lot to the top of Mount Teide. Mount Teide is the highest mountain in Spain. Unfortunately, the final few hundred feet leading to the actual summit is not usually open to visitors. Visitors can see the entire landscape of Tenerife from the top Mount Teide.

Siam Park

Nie jest to "naturalna" atrakca, ale nadal jedna z obowiązkowych. Według portali turystycznych park wodny Siam jest jednym z najlepszych na świecie. Jako fanka tego typu atrakcji miałam okazje odwiedzić najróżniejsze parki wodne w różnych częściach globu i faktycznie te znajdujące się w Siam są nieprzeciętne. Jednocześnie większość z nich jest przeznaczona dla odwiedzających, którzy lubią dreszczyk emocji. Jupiiii

Not a natural attraction admittedly, but still one that shouldn't be missed. Named as one of the best 10 water parks in the world, if you like your thrills and spills wet, you have just got to go to this Thai-themed water park with loads of scream-inducing rides and slides, a gigantic wave pool complete with gold sand beach, and a mini-aquatic park just for kids.

Loro Park

Loro Park zdecydowanie spodoba się rodzinom z dziećmi lub wiecznym dzieciom. Ja cały czas nie uznaję siebie za wyjątkowo dorosłą więc jak najbardziej wpasowałam się w otoczenie. W Loro Park można zobaczyć spektakularne pokazy delfinów, orek, fok i jak sama nazwa wskazuje również Papug. Poza pokazami park funkcjonuje jako zoo z wybiegami dla pingwinów, goryli i innych stworzeń.

Loro Parque is a zoo and wildlife refuge located outside of Santa Cruz. The park features a wide variety of animals with a special focus on parrots. There is even a large parrot museum highlighting over a hundred different types of parrots. The zoo has an entire marine life display centered on a large artificial glacier. Loro Parque includes a playground for children, a local market and regular live animal shows.

Masca

Jak dla mnie jest to najlepsza atrakcja Teneryfy. Oddalone od całego świata miasteczko znajuduje się u zbocza kilkukilometrowego wąwozu prowadzącego do samej plaży. Wędrówka przez wąwóz to rewelacyjna przygoda gwarantująca piękne widoki i wiele wrażeń. Bez odpowiednich butów, butelki wody i ......odpowiedniej kondycji się niestety nie obędzie.

Tenerife's very own Shangri-la. This picturesque village clings precariously to the side of the mountains in the north-west of Tenerife, hidden from the rest of civilisation and looking very much like it did centuries ago. For me it's the it's the best attraction of Tenerife. If you want to go through the gorge you need to have the right shoes, a bottle of water and .... good condition.

Los Gigantes

Los Gigantes to wielkie klify przy południowym brzegu wyspy. Osiągają one wysokość nawet do 600 metrów przy czym gorąco polecam podziwianie ich z Łodzi. Jest to rewelacyjna atrakcja, która oferuje takie dodatki jak oglądanie delfinów lub kąpiel w pięknej zatoce.

The Los Gigantes Cliffs are a natural landmark. The cliffs have sheer faces that run vertically almost 1,600 feet up from the surface of the Atlantic Ocean. Visitors can take a boat ride into the ocean to see the cliffs up close. I highly recommend this way of visiting los Gigantes because it's a great attraction with adds like seeing dolphins or having a bath in lovely bay.

Anaga

Anaga to masyw górski ze szpiczastymi krawędziami i ściśniętymi głębokimi wąwozami, pokrytymi lasem wawrzynowym. I to wszystko w mniej niż w godzinę jazdy samochodem z La Laguna, miasta wpisanego na Listę dziedzictwa światowego UNESCO, oraz od stolicy i głównego portu wyspy Teneryfy, Santa Cruz. Przepiękne widoki i uczucie bliskości z naturą czynia to miejsce wyjątkowym.

The Parque Rural de Anaga occupies most of the northeastern part of Tenerife. The park is very large and includes dense jungle areas as well as sparsely populated mountainsides. Absolutely wonderful views are something that makes this place special.

El Drago

Drzewo niczym z filmu Avatar nie jest może atrakcją, która zapełniła cały dzień, ale będąc w okolicy zdecydowanie warto tu zawitać. Wg. Legendy gigantyczny el Drago wyrósł z krwi smoków ( hmm....) i nikt dokładnie nie wie ile on ma lat.

Najlepszy widok na tajemnicze drzewo rozciąga się z Plaza de la Constitucion.

Nobody knows exactly how old the Millennium Drago tree in Icod de los Vinos is. It may have stood for 5000 years, or it could be a sprightly 650 years young. Whatever its true age, it's a fine specimen of a tree that was once believed to have sprouted from the blood of slain dragons.
