PARIS FASHION WEEK F/W 2017 - STREET STYLE TRENDS / ZALANDO

Fashion Weeki to przede wszystkim ogromne kopalnie trendów - zarówno tych bieżących, prezentowanych na ulicach (streetstyle), jak i tych przyszłych, pochodzących bezpośrednio z wybiegów.
Na przestrzeni ostatnich lat, to właśnie moda uliczna nabrała szczególnego znaczenia dla nadchodzących trendów. Wydarzenia tego typu przyciągają całe rzesze fotografów (nazywanych "clickers") i Trend Hunterów z całego świata, którzy polując na nowości i wychwytując "świeże sylwetki", powtarzające się elementy i tendencje, przygotowują materiał (fotorelacje), który w późniejszym czasie zostaje poddany szczegółowej analizie.

Wraz z marką Zalando, która została partnerem mojego wyjazdu, także i ja postanowiłam ''zabawić się'' w samodzielną analizę trendów. Dlaczego właśnie zdecydowałam się na Paryski Fashion Week?
Do Paryskiego Fashion Weeku przymierzałam się już od kilku dobrych sezonów - od długiego czasu był on numerem jeden na liście wydarzeń, w których chciałabym uczestniczyć.

Przez wielu to właśnie ten tydzień mody uznawany jest za najważniejszy i najbardziej prestiżowy ze wszystkich - to podsumowanie i jednocześnie zamknięcie całej serii najważniejszych wydarzeń świata mody w danym sezonie. Krąży również przekonanie, że jeżeli trendy, które pojawiły się w poprzednich tygodniach powtórzą się także na wybiegach we Francji, to możemy być pewni, że to właśnie one będą w nadchodzącym sezonie obowiązujące. Poza tym, Paryż jest jednym z moich ukochanych miast, więc podjęcie takiego wyboru było dla mnie dość oczywiste.

Z pomocą Łukasza (outdersen.com) przygotowaliśmy dość obszerną fotorelację całego wydarzenia. Pomimo tego, że pogody nie można było określić mianem ''sprzyjającej'', przy naszym nie najmłodszym i raczej amatorskim sprzęcie, udało się sprostać temu zadaniu (a przynajmniej taką mam nadzieję).

Bazując przede wszystkim na stopniu powtarzalności poszczególnych elementów, z kilku tysięcy wykonanych zdjęć wybrałam te najistotniejsze, na podstawie których wyróżniłam aż 10 trendów panujących na ulicach podczas trwania Paryskiego Tygodnia Mody.


Fashion weeks are the most important and the most prestige events in the world of fashion industry. As you know, these crucial and the most medial ones has place in 4 fashion capitals - New York City, London, Paris and Milan. That’s where 2 times in year the biggest fashion designers from all around the world present theirs new collections for the upcoming seasons.
Fashion Weeks are, first and foremost, huge trend mines - these current that are presented on the streets (what is called streetsyle) and also these future ones derived directly from catewalks.
Over the last years, the street style got special importance for upcoming trends. This type of events attract enormous crowds of photographers (called „clickers”) and Trend Hunters from all around the world who by hunting for novelties and catching up „fresh looks” or recurring elements and tendecies are preparing some material (photo relation) which later will be subjected to an in-depth analysis.

Together with Zalando brand, that became a partner of my trip, I decided to have some fun and make my own trend analysis. But why I actually decide to go to Paris Fashion Week?
I was thinking about Paris Fashion week for some seasons - for a long time it was my number 1 on my event list that I wanted to take a part in.
For many people this one is found as the most important and the most prestige from all of them - this is the summary and at the same time shutdown of the whole series of the most important fashion world events in particular season. It is also thought if the trends that have appeared in the previous weeks would be also seen on the catwalks in France, we can be sure, that just they will be "must have" or even "must wear" in upcoming season. Otherwise, Paris is one of my beloved cities so taking this decision was quite obvious for me.

With a help of Lukas from outdersen.com we prepared quite extensive photorelation of the whole event. Despite the fact that the weather couldn’t be determined as „favorable” and we has to use our not really young and sort of amateur equpiment, we rise to the challenge (I hope so anyway).
Based on the frequency of several elements recurrence, from a few thousand of photos that we made, I’ve chosen the most important ones so that I singled out 10 trends that were ruling during Paris Fashion Week.

Trendem, który warto wyszczególnić w pierwszej kolejności, przede wszystkim ze względu na jego dużą powtarzalność w stylizacjach, jest CZERWONY AKCENT. W większości przypadków w formie elementu przełamującego spokojny i dość neutralny zestaw, dodający kontrastu i charakteru całości - tzw. ''wisienka na torcie''. Czerwone torebki, kurtki, żakiety, płaszcze, czy bluzy nawet w zestawieniu z najprostszymi, klasycznymi elementami potrafiły wzbudzić niemałe zainteresowanie :)


In the first place worth of specyfing trend, mainly because of its big recurrence in stylizations is RED ACCENT. In many cases it was use as an element that is breaker of calm and quite neutral set, that also adds some contast and character to the entirety - so called „the icing on the cake”. Red bags, jackets, blazers, coats or sweatshirts even in set with the simplest, classic elements aroused big interst.

2. PŁASZCZ XXL / THE XXL TRENCH COAT

Przyduże [oversizeowe] płaszcze to zdecydowanie absolutny hit Paryskiego Tygodnia Mody. Zakładam oczywiście, że ich rekordowa ilość była odpowiedzią na niezbyt sprzyjające warunki atmosferyczne - w tym wypadku wszelkiego rodzaju trencze spisały się na medal. Te w rozmiarze XXL - długie, sięgające do kostek, z obszernymi ramionami i szerokimi rękawami - niczym wyciągnięte prosto z męskiej szafy, nonszalancko zarzucone na pozostałe warstwy dodawały całości uroku, prezentując się przy tym dość naturalnie.


Oversized coats are definitely a hit of Paris fashion week. I assume their record amount was an answer for not very favorable weather conditions - in this case all kind of trench-coats came up trumps. The ones in xxl size - long, reaching to the ankles with extensive shoulders and wide sleeves - just like already pulled out stright from the male wardrobe, nonchalantly abandoned on the rest layers were adding some charm to the entirety and at the same time, presenting itself quite natural.

3. GARNITURY / THE SUITS

Kolejny trendem zaczerpnięty z męskiej szafy, który zyskuje na popularności z każdym kolejnym sezonem jest garnitur. Podobnie jak w kwestii płaszczy, w tym sezonie - mile widziane kroje oversizeowe z obszernymi ramionami i luźnymi spodniami.

The next trend is taken from the male wardrobe, which gains on popular in each next season, is a suit. Similarly like in the issue of the coats, in this season - oversized cuttings with extensive shoulder and loose trousers are very welcomed.

5. GINGHAM / VICHY 

Jeśli śledzicie pojawiające się w sklepach nowości na sezon wiosenno-letni, na pewno zauważyłyście, że jednym z najbardziej charakterystycznych printów jest biało czarna kratka vichy / gingham - występująca na niemalże wszystkich elementach garderoby - od butów aż po płaszcze i marynarki. Miało to również swoje odzwierciedlenie na ulicach Paryża. Nadchodzący sezon to zdecydowanie wielki powrót monochromatycznej, drobnej kratki lansowanej niegdyś przez sławy takie jak Katharine Houghton Hepburn, Claire McCardell i Bridgitte Bardot.

If you follow appearing novelties for spring-summer season in the stores, you certainly noticed that one of the most typical print is white and black vichy/gingham check that also occurs on almost every wardrobe elements - from the shoes to coats and jackets. This was also reflectd on the streets of Paris. Upcoming season is a definitely big return of this retro, monichrome, tiny chequered pattern, promoted once by fashion icons as Katherine Houghton Hepburn, Claire McCardell and Bridgitte Bardot.

6. LAKIEROWANA SKÓRA, POŁYSK / PATENT LEATHER, GLOSS

Patentowa skóra, to jeden z mocniejszych trendów ubiegłej jesieni, który mimo wszystko był wciąż zauważalny na ulicach Paryża podczas trwającego Fashion Weeku. Zapoczątkowany przez Isabel Marant, dość szybko doczekał się odpowiedzi ze strony sieciówek - w tej chwili najczęściej występujący w formie płaszczy, spodni i spódnic. Dla wielu, lakierowane elementy przez długi czas były synonimem kiczu - są dość krzykliwe i zdecydowanie zwracają uwagę, dlatego najlepiej sprawdzają się w zestawieniu z prostymi, casualowymi ubraniami.

Patent leather is one of the strongest trends of the previous autumn, that after all was still noticed on Paris streets during Fashion Week. Initiated by Isabel Marant, pretty fast was noticed by fast fashion / chain stores designers - the most often occuring in a form of coats, skirts and trousers at this moment . for many, varinished elements were a symbolr of kitsch for a long time - they are quite extravagant and definitely eye-catching, so that they work very good in set of simple, casual clothes.

7. SZEROKIE NOGAWKI / WIDE LEG TROUSERS

Spodnie z szerokimi nogawkami to trend utrzymujący się już od kilku sezonów - jest świetną alternatywą dla wszechobecnych, obcisłych ''rurek''. Idealnie radzą sobie z zakamuflowaniem wszelkich niedoskonałości naszej figury, oczywiście pod warunkiem, że będziemy pamiętać o zachowaniu odpowiednich proporcji. W tym wypadku kluczową rolę odgrywa długość nogawki (nie mogą być zbyt krótkie), najkorzystniej prezentują się też modele z wysokim stanem, które podkreślają talię. W zestawieniu z butami na wysokim obcasie optycznie wyszczuplają sylwetkę, wydłużając tym samym nogi.

Trousers with wide pant legs are a trend maintaining for some seasons already - it is great alternative for omnipresent, tight „skinnies”. They perfectly work with camouflaging any inperfections of our shape, provided we will remember about keeping right proportions. In this case the key role plays the lenght of the pant leg (it can’t be too short), high-waisted models that stress waist look most advantageously. They opttically slim down silhouette and lenghten leg in the set with shoes on the heel.

Moda na ''miksowanie'' jest praktykowana przez uczestników niemalże każdego Fashion Weeku co sezon - zarówno na wybiegach, jak i w modzie ulicznej można zauważyć wyraźną zabawę kontrastującymi kolorami, mieszanie printów i zestawianie ze sobą pozornie niepasujących elementów.
