strój jeździecki z lat 1840. / 1840s riding habit

Not long ago I had the pleasure to pose for a photoshoot together with Porcelana. We are both quite obsessed with 1840s riding habits, so decided to team up and do something cool together! We've been planning a photoshoot like that since forever and finally we managed to do it at the right time and at the right place.
I was really surprised with how well we handled the horses - neither me nor Porcelana are professionals and the last time any of us rode a horse was around middle class, so all I expected was some simple shots next to these beautiful creatures. Eventually, as it turned out, not only were we able to get on the horses, but also ride about freely in a side-saddle-sort-of-way (we kept both our legs on one side of the saddle for the pictures, but the saddles themselves were the ordinary ones). It was really windy and the horses didn't seem to like staying in one place for a long time, luckily our photographer was fast enough to snap some pictures before they decided to move.
I must say it was a very unique experience - the weather and the surroundings reminded me a lot of our Haworth visit, and sitting on the side of a horses back, casually riding around, felt a lot like I was indeed a Victorian lady on a ride with my aristocratic friend. Hopefully, you'll get this feeling from the pictures below! Enjoy!
The skirt turned out to be a little too short, and the ordinary saddle + the wind weren't helping either. Zaloguj się, żeby dodać komentarz.
